Advanced battery analyzers are largely used in the automobile industry to restore and increase the life of batteries used in vehicles. The advanced battery analyzers are responsible for cycling, rapid testing and boosting of automobile batteries.

Types of Battery Analyzer

Basically there are two types of battery analyzers:

• Fixed Current Analyzers: These are suitable for charging comparatively smaller batteries. They charge and discharge a battery at a preset current of about 600 milli ampere.
• Programmable Analyzers: They permit servicing the battery against preset parameters. In this type of analyzers, the charge and discharge currents are adjusted on the basis of the battery rating. They provide more accurate readings and facilitate higher battery throughput. Programmable analyzers are better suited to service new battery systems and are more effective in restoring weak batteries.
