Density basket is a
container that is used for measuring the specific gravity of aggregates
as well as compacted and uncompacted bituminous mixtures and aggregates;
and other materials. The basket can also be used to conduct density test
on aggregates.
Salient Features
- Generally, density basket is made of brass and is provided with
stainless steel wire mesh.
- The apparatus is ruggedly constructed with wire mesh arrangement
and have approximately 20 cm diameter and height 20 cm.
- The basket is provided with a handle.
