Die cutters & die cutting
machines are used for processing woven cloth, non-woven textiles and
rubber sheets. Their vital function is to convert web or sheet materials
into shapes. They are widely used in laboratory applications.
Types
They are basically of two types:
- Clicker Presses: They are useful in converting web
materials manually. They consist of switches, pushbutton control and
pendants.
- Rotary Die Cutters: They are also known as roller press
die cutters and are used in the high-speed conversion of web and
sheet materials. In this type of die cutters, roller shaped cutting
dyes are pressed against a web. With the rotation of the roller
dies, web materials are inserted and converted into desired shapes.
Both the above mentioned die cutters are largely used in laboratory
applications including process parameter studies, sample preparation and
material development.
Specifications
The important specifications are:
- Capacity or operating force
- Stroke
- Daylight or open height
- Throat
- Maximum sheet length or working length
- Maximum sheet width or working depth
Applications
These are widely used in many applications. Some of its common
applications are:
- Textile Industry
- Rubber Industry
- Laboratory Applications
- Research & Development
