The
durability tester is
an instrument mainly used in the automobile industry for conducting
durability tests on car seats. The test method involves conducting a
cyclic endurance test on seat tilt gear motors, which are attached to
the actual seats. They can be also be used for performing durability
test on car seat heaters. Testing of basic materials and system
components used for seat heaters is very important in automotive
industry.
Durability testers can also be used for testing vehicle's key lock.
The equipment is simple to use and can be easily adjusted.
Working Principle
- The machine has two stations that perform a cyclic endurance test
on the tilt gear motors of the seat that are fixed to the actual
seats of the vehicle.
- One of the stations control an aggregation of electronic seats
via a pre-programmed multiple position cycle, along with motor break
down conditions. This is accomplished along with recording and
controlling motor current.
- The second station accomplishes identical operations on a
manually adjusted seat along with torque measurement.
Uses of Durability Testers
Durability testers are used in the automobile industry for:
- Testing vehicle's key lock
- Testing vehicle's bumper
Applications
The equipment finds application in the following areas:
- Automobile Industry
- Plastic Industry
- Biomedical Instruments
- Rubber Industry
- Polyurethane Industry
